On 'degrees of freedom'

This morning, rising late after a long night of writing, DiVizio chanced to see a tiny fragment of a television documentary on mechanical robotics as applied to space exploration, stumbling about his apartment in the blur of a new day. This set him to thinking of how to articulate the concept of infinite degrees of freedom. And so, with Ana's help and the Oxford English Dictionary online the above text was created.
Finally, consider now the transitive verbal meaning of "ragout" as it may apply to life and its' degrees of freedom...
1. trans. To make a ragout of, to stew with highly flavoured seasoning.
2. transf. To give piquancy or variety to; to enrich or improve. Obs.
3. ? To have a relish of, to understand. Obs.
Hence ragoued, ragoo'd ppl. a.
May we each and every one of us be ragoo'd.
